Which care plan is right for me?
– Choose Basic Care if you have a small brochure site that doesn’t change often and you mainly need updates, backups and basic security.
– Choose Standard Care if your site is an active business asset – like a blog, lead-gen site or small store – and you want weekly updates, daily backups and regular tweaks.
– Choose Premium Care if your site is mission critical – high-traffic, key for leads or revenue – and you want proactive work, faster support and more time each month for changes and optimisation.

What’s included in all three care plans?
All care plans include:
– Core, theme and plugin updates
– Security checks and basic hardening
– Scheduled backups
– Attention to performance and uptime

Standard adds more frequent updates and monitoring, and Premium adds extra time, deeper optimisation and priority support.

What counts as a “small change” each month?
Small changes typically include:
– Editing existing text or swapping images
– Updating contact info, prices or opening hours
– Adding or removing simple sections on existing pages
– Fixing layout issues after updates
– Adjusting basic settings or forms
Large redesigns, new templates, custom features or complex troubleshooting usually fall outside “small changes” – we’ll let you know and can quote separately if needed.
What happens if an update breaks the website?
This is exactly why you want a care plan.
If an update breaks something:
– We restore from a backup or staging version if needed
– We identify which update caused the issue
– We roll back, patch, or find a compatible version / alternative solution
Premium and Standard sites will usually have staging available (where hosting allows) so we can test big changes safely before pushing them live.
Does this include security protection?
Yes, security is a big part of every plan.
Depending on your plan and hosting setup, we may:
– Harden basic WordPress security settings
– Monitor for suspicious logins and file changes
– Use security plugins and/or firewall rules
– Run malware scans and clean up issues (within reason, especially on Standard and Premium)
We’ll also flag any major security risks we see (e.g. outdated plugins, poor passwords, weak hosting).
How often do you back up my site?
It depends on your plan:
– Basic Care: monthly backups
– Standard Care: daily backups
– Premium Care: daily backups + on-demand backups before major changes
Backups are stored away from the main site (where possible) so we have something clean to restore from if anything goes wrong.
Does Maintenance & Care include hosting?
No, hosting is separate – but they work nicely together.
– Maintenance & Care looks after your site itself (updates, security, content tweaks, etc.).
– LiteSpeed Hosting looks after the server it runs on (speed, uptime, infrastructure).
You can use our care plans on your existing host, or combine them with our LiteSpeed WebServer Hosting for an all-in-one solution.
How do I request changes or support each month?
You can email us with:
– A short description of what you need
– Any relevant links or screenshots
We’ll confirm if it fits within your monthly time and give you an ETA. For bigger requests, we’ll tell you if it needs an extra quote so there are no surprises.
Premium clients get priority response for urgent issues.
What if I don’t use my full time in a month?
The time allowance (e.g. 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours) is there to keep things predictable and fair.
– Unused time doesn’t roll over, but
– We’ll always try to group small tasks efficiently so you feel real value from the plan.
If you regularly need more time, we can either upgrade your plan or add an extra block of hours.
Can you fix existing issues before starting a care plan?
Yes, but big existing issues may require a one-time repair or cleanup project first.
Before we start a care plan, we can:
– Scan the site
– Highlight any serious problems (e.g. broken plugins, malware, very outdated core)
– Propose a one-off fix if required
Once things are stable, the care plan keeps everything healthy going forward.
Is there a minimum commitment?
We typically work on a month-to-month basis with a one-month cancellation notice.
That said, care plans work best when we build a longer-term relationship, so most clients stay on a plan as long as the site is live and important to their business.
Can you support websites you didn’t build?
Often, yes.
We’ll usually:
– Do a quick health check on your existing site
– Flag any major risks (very old themes, abandoned plugins, custom code)
– Let you know if we’re comfortable taking it on under a care plan
If a full rebuild would be safer or more cost-effective, we’ll tell you honestly and give you the choice.
